HERKIMER, NY - The Northampton men's basketball finished in 4th place at the NJCAA Division III Men's Basketball national championship, after falling to Rochester Technical & Community College, 68-53, in the 3rd place game on Saturday afternoon at the Lee Center.
The Spartans, who played without second leading scorer
Titus Wilkins (Easton, PA/Executive Education Academy Charter), struggled to generate offense throughout the contest, despite holding the Yellow Jackets to just 34% shooting from the field.
Keein Ward (Harrisburg, PA/Susquehanna) led the Spartans with 12 points, while
Mike Marable (Harrisburg, PA/Susquehanna) ended his Northampton career with 10 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Â
The Spartans finish the season with an overall record of 30-5.Â
