Box Score NEWTOWN, Pa. - The Northampton baseball team picked up their 3rd consecutive victory, downing Bucks County Community College, 11-6, in a midweek non-conference matchup on Wednesday afternoon at Centurions Park.
The hosts jumped out to a 3-0 lead after two innings before the Spartan bats responded, scoring at least one run in four straight innings, to take an 8-3 lead into the bottom of the 6th. Bucks was able to manufacture runs in the 6th, 7th and 8th innings, but Northampton added 2 runs in the 8th and a run in the 9th for the final 11-6 margin.

Ryan Gordon (New Cumberland, PA/Red Land) got the win, going 5 innings, allowing 3 runs (1 earned) on 6 hits with 5 strikeouts and 1 walk.
Brandon Ratti (Effort, PA/Pleasant Valley) worked 1.1 innings, allowing 2 runs (1 earned) on 2 hits, with 3 walks.
Daniel McEvoy (Kunkletown, PA/Pleasant Valley) pitched the final 2.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits, striking out 2.
Stephen McMillan (Warrington, PA/Central Bucks - South) was 1 for 3 with a double, 2 RBI, and 2 runs scored,
Josh Herman (Bethlehem, PA/Notre Dame Green Pond) went 4 for 6 with 2 RBI and
Gabe Caso (Califon, NJ/West Morris Central (NJ)) continued to swing a hot bat coming off the Brookdale series, finishing 3 for 3 with 2 RBI.
The win moves Northampton to 16-9 overall, while Bucks County, a member of the USCAA, falls to 18-6.
The Spartans are now off until April 11th when they host Camden County College in a single 9-inning game at 3:30pm.
