BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The nationally-ranked Northampton women's volleyball team will open the 2023 campaign on September 12th at Montgomery County Community College, looking to repeat their success of the 2022 season.

First Team All-American and Region 19 Player of the Year Ayana Bomani (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) returns for her sophomore season, along with classmates Joy Wetzel (Bath, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) and Safiya Goodridge (Stroudsburg, PA/Pocono Mt. West).  The trio was part of an EPAC Championship, Region 19 Title, District Championship and a NJCAA National Tournament appearance during the 2022 campaign, during which the Spartans finished 19-3 overall. Head Coach Rachael Caywood returns for her 3rd season on the sidelines, looking to keep the Spartans among the nations elite programs.  Caywood earned Conference, Region and District Coach of the Year Honors last season after orchestrating a 16-win improvement over her inaugural season in 2021. 

Northampton is currently ranked 14th in the latest NJCAA National Poll, after checking in at #10 in the preseason rankings.
