BETHLEHEM, Pa. - In a classic battle between EPAC foes, Montgomery County Community College downed Northampton, 2-0, on Tuesday afternoon at Spartan Field. 

After 75 minutes of scoreless action, the Mustangs converted on a corner kick to take a 1-0 advantage.  Montgomery added an insurance goal just 5 mintues later to put the game away. 

John Stier (Northampton, PA/Northampton) recorded 10 saves between the pipes for Northampton. 

The loss drops Northampton to 1-2-1 overall, 1-1-1 in Region 19 and 1-1-1 in the EPAC. 

Montgomery improves to 4-0-0 with the victory. 

The Spartans are back in action on Thursday when they host the Mighty Oaks of Salem Community College at 3:30pm.
