BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton men's volleyball team improved to 2-0 on the season, downing Harcum College 25-11, 25-14, 25-13, on Monday evening at the Arthur L. Scott Center.
The Spartans were led by
Alex Schoenen (Northampton, PA/Northampton) with 9 kills, 9 digs and 4 blocks, while
John Nice (Feasterville, PA/Neshaminy) added 7 kills, 6 service aces and 4 digs.Â
"Really happy with the effort tonight," explained Head Coach
Rachael Aquila, "I liked our energy, we really fed off the crowd, it was great to have such a large, supportive group on hand."
Mamadou Dieng (Conackry, Guinea/Lycee Alberts Camus) chipped in with 6 kills, while
Zach Franges (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom) recorded 23 assists.Â
The Spartans, 2-0, are now off until Monday February 26th when they host the Jersey Blues of Brookdale Community College.
Harcum falls to 0-1 with the loss.
