CEDAR RAPIDS, IA - The Northampton Women's Volleyball team saw their season come to a close on Saturday afternoon, falling in straight sets (23-25, 22-25, 16-25) to #3 seed Butler County (Pa.) in the 7th place match at the NJCAA National Tournament at Alliant Energy Powerhouse Arena. The Spartans finish the 2025 campaign with an 8th place finish.
Leading 21-19 and unable to hold off a late Butler rally, the Spartans dropped the first set, 23-25. With the second set tied at 22-22, the Spartans saw the Pioneers rally behind three straight kills by Maeggie Wysocki, losing the second set, 22-25. The Spartans dropped the third set, 16-25.

Region 19 Player of the Year
Lexi Womack (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley) led the Spartans offense with 12 kills and 14 digs while Right Side
Zoe Velez (Landville, PA/Warwick) recorded 5 kills and 5 block assists. Middle Hitters
Kyra Miller (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) and
Grace Coppola (Allentown, PA/Central Catholic) each had 4 kills with Miller picking up a pair of digs and Coppola adding 3 digs and 4 block assists in the season ending loss.
Quinn Micheli (Northampton, PA/Northampton) and
Emily Marcial (Allentown, PA/Executive Charter) each had 8 digs.
Freshman Middle Hitter
Grace Coppola (Allentown, PA/Central Catholic) was named to the NJCAA All-Tournament team. Coppola recorded 27 kills, 10 blocks and 11 digs in National Tournament play.
The Spartans were also recognized by the NJCAA with the team Sportsmanship Award.
Northampton, competing in their 8th NJCAA National Tournament, finish the season with a 29-4 mark. Butler County (Pa.) ends their season at 24-2.
