PARAMUS, NJ - The Northampton Men's Wrestling team opened their dual meet slate on Saturday afternoon with a pair of losses, falling to host Bergen Community College, 29-28, and Camden County College, 33-22, at the Bulldogs Sports Arena.

"Two tough losses," commented Spartans Head Coach Nick Haegele, "It was great to get out on the mat and I was pleased with how we wrestled and competed today. Our kids are working hard, It is just tough to have to give up forfeit points. That is difficult to overcome."

Sophomore Xavier Arner (Schnecksville, PA/Whitehall) (149) was 2-0 on the day for the Spartans with Technical Fall wins. Freshmen Oscar Ubiles (Allentown, PA/Dieruff) (133) and Kristopher Xian (Pottstown, PA/Pottsgrove Area) (174) were 1-1 on the day with both picking up their wins by Fall.

The Men's Wrestling team will be back on the mat on Sunday, December 7th at 9am when they travel to Centenary University in Hackettstown, New Jersey to take part in the Bob Quade Cyclone Open at the John M. Reeves Student Recreation Center.
