BETHLEHEM, PA. - The Northampton men's volleyball team, the defending Region 19 Champions, have earned the #2 seed for the Region 19 playoffs and will host 3rd seeded Ocean County College on Wednesday March 26th at 6:30pm at the Arthur L. Scott Center. 

The two rivals have met twice this season, with Ocean taking both matches by identical 3-2 margins.  As one would expect, the matches were extremely close, with the Vikings winning the 5th set 15-13 on March 8th in Toms River and 15-12 on March 19th in Bethlehem.  The Spartans have actually outscored Ocean in both matches, 108-105 in match one and 109-107 in the second match. 

Northampton enters the semifinal matchup with an overall record of 13-3 and a Region record of 11-3, while Ocean is 11-8 overall and 9-5 in the Region.

The winner of Wednesday's semifinal will advance to the Region 19 championship match on Saturday March 29th (location and time TBD).

The Spartans and Vikings met last year in the Region 19 championship match, with Northampton prevailing, 3-2 (25-18, 25-16, 26-28, 22-25, 15-13).
