BLACKWOOD, NJ - The Northampton baseball team dropped games two and three of their 3-game Region 19 series vs. Camden County College, falling 15-0 and 7-0 on Sunday afternoon at Banks Ballpark.
GAME TWO - Lost 15-0
After taking game one of the series, 12-9, on Friday, the Spartans could not muster any offensive firepower in game two, falling 15-0.
Northampton managed only 3 hits in the loss, with
Nick Stettner (Phillipsburg, NJ/Phillipsburg (NJ)) collecting a double and
Peter Hrousis (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) and
Kyle Stoner (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Township (NJ)) each adding a single.
Cooper Natisin (Quakertown, PA/Quakertown) took the loss, working 3.0 innings, allowing 8 runs (7 earned) on 9 hits, walking 5 and striking out 1.
Christopher Parrillo (Quakertown, PA/Quakertown) threw the final 3.0 innings, allowing 7 runs (6 earned) on 3 hits, with 5 walks and 5 K's.
GAME THREE - Lost 7-0
The Spartan offense remained silent in game three, with 6 hits, but no runs.
Braden Cummings (Elizabethtown, PA/Elizabethtown) and
Lincoln Hower (Kintnersville, PA/Faith Christian) each laced a triple, with Cummings finishing 2 for 4.
Jared Diefenbach (Stewartsville, NJ/Phillipsburg (NJ)) suffered the loss on the bump, allowing 5 runs on 6 hits over 5.0 innings. Diefenbach walked 5 and struck out 6.
Aaron Clark (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) worked the the 6th inning, allowing 2 runs (1 earned).
Northampton is now 19-18 overall and 13-13 in Region 19.
Camden improves to 24-14 overall and 16-13 in the Region.
The Spartans return to action on Tuesday when they host Bucks County Community College in a non-conference matchup at 3:30pm.
