BLUE BELL, Pa. - The Northampton women's volleyball team rolled to their 8th straight win, downing Montgomery County Community College, 25-14, 25-7, 25-8, on Thursday evening at the Health Sciences Center.
Freshman
Grace Coppola (Allentown, PA/Central Catholic) led the Spartans with 10 kills and
Kyra Miller (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) followed with 6 kills and 1 dig and 1 block. Middle Hitter
Sophia Tyma (Bethlehem, PA/Lehigh Valley Academy)Â added 4 kills, 3 service aces and 2 block assists and
Lexi Womack (Saylorsburg, PA/Pleasant Valley) collected 3 kills, 3 aces and 4 digs. Setter
Samantha Nagy (Easton, PA/Easton) recorded 24 assists, 5 service aces and 2 digs for the Spartans.
"Great effort to grab two victories in back-to-back nights," explained Head Coach
Rachael Aquila, "we now will get our sights set on Monday night and a tough match-up vs. Raritan Valley."
The Spartans, ranked 8th in the latest NJCAA national poll, improve to 8-0 overall.Â
Montgomery slips to 0-2 overall.
Northampton is off this weekend, but will be back in action on Monday, September 15th at the Arthur L. Scott Center against Region 19 rival Raritan Valley at 6pm.
