SCRANTON, Pa.- The Northampton Men's Wrestling team fell short on Tuesday evening in Dual Meet action against host Lackawanna College, 39-9, at the Student Union Gymnasium.

The Spartans recorded wins at 141 when Derek Cruz (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) defeated John Almonte by Fall at (0:53) and also at 149 with Xavier Arner (Schnecksville, PA/Whitehall) picking up a decision over Matt Gashi-Brito (10-6).

Northampton is set to host Union College of New Jersey in Dual Meet action on Saturday, February 7th at the Arthur L. Scott Center. The Men's Wrestling team is scheduled to hit the Mat at 10am with the Women scheduled for 11am.
