SEWELL, NJ - The Northampton baseball team placed four players on the 2026 All-Region team, which was selected by the league coaches.
Matthew Tankred (East Greenville, PA/Southern Lehigh) and
Josh Brancy (Sparta. NJ/Sparta (NJ)) both earned
Second Team All-Region honors, while
Danny Qualteria (Quakertown, PA/Quakertown) and
Juan Cruz (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) were
Third Team selections.
Tankred batted .417 with 14 doubles and a team-high 7 homeruns, while collecting 57 RBI.
Brancy, an outfielder, led the Spartans with a .423 batting average, 74 hits and 59 RBI.
Qualteria had a team leading 64 runs scored, while batting .354 with 56 hits and 24 stolen bases.
Cruz, a left-handed pitcher, finished 6-2 with a team-low 3.80 ERA, striking out 48 in 47.1 innings of work.
The Spartans finished 32-19 overall, and were ranked as high as #12 in the country during the regular season.
