BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton Baseball team was tabbed as the #5 seed for the upcoming Region 19 tournament and will face #4 Middlesex College in a best of three series to open postseason play. 

The Spartans, 32-17 overall / 23-11 Region 19, will travel to Edison, NJ to face the Colts, who enter the tournament at 35-15 overall and 23-10 in Region 19.  The two teams split their weekday 2-game series in mid-April with Northampton winning game one 14-7 in Bethlehem, and Middlesex returning the favor, 10-8 on their home field. 

The Region 19 Tournament has been moved up to Friday to avoid the predicted rain for this weekend, with game one of the series scheduled for noon on Friday, with game two set for 30 minutes after the completion of game one.  The third game, if needed, is scheduled for noon on Saturday.  All games will be played on the Middlesex College campus. 

The winner of the series will advance to the Region 19 Final Four, set for the campus of Rutgers-Camden, May 14-17.
