BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The NCC men's basketball got their first victory of the season, knocking off NJCAA Division II Burlington Community College, 65-63, on Saturday afternoon.

In a see-saw battle, which was tied 25-25 at halftime, Josh Vargas hit a layup with 9.5 seconds remaining and Richard Hollinger stole Burlington's final in-bounds pass to secure the victory for the Spartans. 

Vargas led NCC with 24 points, while Brian Smith added 19 points and 5 rebounds.

Northampton, now 1-3 overall travels to PSU-Schuylkill on November 19th.
