BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The NCC women's basketball team fell to Harford Community College (MD), 63-60, in the opening round of the Elite Limousine & Coach Tip-Off Tournament on Saturday afternoon.
Jenna Bartholomew scored 16 points and Krista Ruhle added 11 to pace the Spartan offense.
Northampton led 31-24 at halftime, but a strong second half by Harford's Alanza Brown (16 points) and Kristina Douglas (18 points), led the Fighting Owls to the come from behind victory.
The Spartans, now 0-3, will face Manor College in Sunday's consolation game at 11:00am. Manor lost to Onondaga Community College, 69-61, in the tournament's first game.
