EDISON, NJ - Jamel Santiago hit a 3-pointer with two seconds remaining to lead Middlesex County College to a 68-66 victory over Northampton on Thursday night in a Region XIX matchup.
The Spartans, who were down six at halftime, rallied to take a 66-65 lead before Santiago's last second heroics.
Poor foul shooting doomed the Spartans, who finished 7 of the 14 from the line, while Middlesex shot 15 of 20 from the charity stripe.
Josh Vargas scored 20 points and grabbed 9 rebounds, while Joey Bamford and Brian Smith each added 10 for Northampton.
