Men's Basketball to Face Nation's Best Tonight

Paramus, NJ - The NCC men's basketball team will have a chance to change the landscape of NJCAA basketball tonight as they take on #1 ranked, and undefeated, Bergen County College.

"It is a great opportunity for our team," responded Head Coach Kevin Foley, "to have the chance to play the #1 ranked team in the country, there are a ton of teams out there that would love to have the opportunity that we have tonight."

Bergen is currently 20-0 after defeating Brookdale Community College, 83-69, on January 23rd.  David West leads the Bulldogs in scoring at 18.9ppg followed by Elgin Baylor at 17.3ppg.

The Spartans and Bulldogs met back on December 8th in Bethlehem, with Bergen earning a 104-84 victory.  Josh Vargas scored 24 points for NCC, while Baylor netted 29 for Bergen.

Northampton is currently 8-11 overall and 6-8 in Region XIX.  The Spartans return to action on Thursday January 28th when they host Middlesex County College at 7:00pm.
