PARAMUS, NJ - Bergen County College, the nation's #1 ranked team, improved to 21-0 with a 90-75 victory over the NCC Spartans on Tuesday night.

Jayvon Beatty scored 26 points and the Bulldogs hit 3 three-pointers to pull away from a 50-50 deadlock with 14 minutes remaining in the contest to earn the victory.

"The kids competed hard," remarked NCC Head Coach Kevin Foley, "Bergen has proven game in and game out that they are the best team in the country and deserve the ranking ... they take everyone's best shot and cotinue to stay focused.  I give their coaching staff a ton of credit for the job they have done."

Joe Bamford led NCC with 19 points, including a 5 for 8 performance from beyond the arc.  Josh Vargas also added 19 points for NCC, which falls to 8-12 overall and 6-9 in Region XIX.

The Spartans next contest is Thursday January 28th at 7:00pm when they host Middlesex County College.
