BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The NCC Lady Spartans dug themselves a huge hole, falling behind by 21 points at halftime to Middlesex County College, only to rally and cut the lead to 5 with two minutes remaining, but the deficit was too big to overcome, as Middlesex held on for the 63-57 victory.
The Spartans, who trailed 32-12 at halftime, outscored the Colts 45-31 in the second-half.
Ashley Slater scored 16 points and
Ciara Mbonu added 15 points and 8 rebounds for NCC.
Northampton falls to 8-12 overall and 7-7 in Region XIX.
The Spartans return to action on Saturday when they travel to Gloucester County College.
Noelia Santana scored 20 points to lead Middlesex.
