BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The NCC women's basketball team got back on the winning track, downing Sussex County Community College, 77-34, on Tuesday night.
Melanie Palko scored 16 points to lead a balanced Spartan attack.
NCC jumped out to an early 20-3 lead and never looked back in taking a 43-20 lead to the locker room at halftime.
"We really jumped out early," remarked Head Coach
Art Wolfe, "I thought our press got us into a good offensive flow and we were able to sustain our intensity throughout the game."
Kiersten Young scored 11 points,
Halie Cintron added 15 and Dee Brown finished with 10 as four Spartans finished in double figures.
NCC improves to 10-3 overall and 6-1 in Region XIX.
The Spartans travel to Camden County College on December 18th.
