BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Ike Robinson scored 26 points as the NCC men's basketball team cruised to a 97-56 victory Atlantic Cape Community College to close out the semester on Tuesday night.
NCC, which led 56-27 at the half, pushed their lead to 40 on Robinson's dunk at the 16:49 mark of the second half at 72-32.
Al Blount added 15 points, 10 assists and 5 steals while
Nicholas Nickle had 14 points,
Ralph Padilla 13 and
Josh Vargas 11 to lead the Spartans.
Tyvon Efferson had a team-high 11 rebounds.
"Tonight was one of those games that you worry about," remarked Head Coach Kevin Foley, "on paper it looks like a mismatch, but it is a tough time of the year to play with the holidays right around the corner, final exams and then with the students gone it really takes away the home court advantage. I thought we did good job of getting out early and putting it out of reach, but we got sloppy at the end and kinda lost our focus."
NCC, now 10-6 overall and 7-3 in Region XIX, is off until January 15th when they travel to Cumberland County College.
