VINELAND, NJ - The offensive woes that have plagued the NCC women's basketball team all semester, continued on Monday night as the Spartans lost to Cumberland County College, 66-35.

Channel Jones scored 9 points and grabbed 14 rebounds while Ashley Slater added 10 points to lead the Spartans, who were down 36-18 at halftime.

"We just can't put the ball in the basket," lamented Head Coach Art Wolfe, "I'm not faulting their effort, but offensively it is a struggle on each possession to get points."

The Spartans, now 10-14 overall and 9-9 in Region XIX, must win one of their two remaining games to qualify for the Region XIX playoffs.

NCC hosts 2nd ranked, and undefeated, Brookdale Community College tonight at 8:00pm.
