BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Brookdale Community College women's basketball team showed why they are ranked 2nd in the country, defeating the Lady Spartans 76-44 on Tuesday night, improving their record to 24-0.

Ashley Slater scored 10 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in her final home game as a Spartan, while Jen Heitzman added 11 points.

Prior to the game sophomores Krista Ruhle, Channel Jones and Slater were recognized for their contributions to the women's basketball program.

The loss drops NCC to 10-15 overall and 9-10 in Region XIX. 

The Spartans must win at Atlantic Cape Community College on Thursday in their last regular season contest to secure a playoff birth in the Region XIX Tournament.
