BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The NCC women's basketball team will be traveling to Paterson, NJ on Tuesday February 23rd to face Passaic County Community College in the quarterfinals of the Region XIX tournament, as announced today by the Regional basketball commitee.  

The Lady Spartans, 11-15 overall and 10-10 in Region XIX, earned the #7 seed and will face the 2nd seeded Panthers (16-4) at 7:00pm.

"I am very proud of Coach Wolfe and his team," remarked Director of Athletics Troy Tucker, "to qualify for the postseason in their first season of NJCAA competition is a great achievement."

Brookdale (20-0), the second ranked team in the nation, earned the #1 seed for the tournament, followed by #2 Passaic (16-4), #3 Bergen (13-7), #4 Cumberland (13-7), #5 Ocean (12-8), #6 Gloucester (11-9) and #7 Northampton (10-10).

Winners of the quarterfinal round will advance to the semifinals on Thursday March 25th at Lackawanna College in Scranton, PA at 5:00 and 7:00pm.
