PATERSON, NJ - Second-seeded Passaic County Community College jumped out to a 14-0 lead and never looked back, defeating the 7th seeded Spartans 87-43 in the Region XIX quarterfinals on Tuesday night.

Ciara Mbonu scored 15 points and grabbed 8 rebounds and Krista Ruhle hauled down a team-high 11 rebounds in her final game as a Spartan.

"It is a tough way to end the season," echoed Head Coach Art Wolfe, "but I hope the girls remember all the good things they accomplished ... making the playoffs in our first season is a real feather in their cap."

Northampton finishes their first season of NJCAA competition with an overall record of 11-16.

Passaic advances to the Region XIX semi-finals at Lackawanna College on February 25th..
