BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The NCC men's basketball team pulled away from a 38-34 halftime lead to defeat Union County College, 74-53, on Thursday night in a Region XIX matchup.

Ike Robinson scored 17 points and grabbed 7 rebounds to lead a balanced Spartan attack, while Joey Bamford added 13 points and 6 boards.

"Our pressure defense in the second half was the key to the victory tonight," remarked Head Coach Kevin Foley, "we were able to force Union into some turnovers which allowed us to get some easy buckets and get us some separation."

Josh Vargas added 11 points as he continued his march toward the NCC all-time scoring record.

The Spartans, now 12-6 overall and 9-3 in Region XIX, host Ocean County College on Saturday at 2pm.
