BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Freshman Dee Brown scored 15 points and dished out 4 assists as the NCC women's basketball team bounced back from a tough loss on Thursday night to defeat Ocean County College, 69-47, in a critical Region XIX contest on Saturday afternoon.

Catie Cardiello added 14 points and 3 steals while Rayna Vinson chipped in with 6 points to lead a balanced Spartan attack.

"We came out and played with a much higher energy level today than on Thursday night," commented Head Coach Art Wolfe, "we need to be able to sustain this type of focus each game as we head down the home stretch of the season."

The victory improves the 6th ranked Spartans to 14-4 overall and 10-1 in Region XIX.

NCC hosts Bergen County College on January 25th in a pivotal Region XIX matchup.

Ocean County falls to 6-5 in Region XIX.
