BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The NCC women's basketball team won their 4th consecutive game and improved to 3-0 in conference play with a 76-48 victory over Cumberland County College on Thursday evening.
MIchelle Thomas scored 14 points and hauled down a game-high 13 rebounds to lead a balanced Spartan attack that saw five players score in double figures.
"Another solid defensive effort," remarked Head Coach
Art Wolfe, "our offense is starting to come around, but I am really happy with how our defense has been playing."
Halie Cintron and
Dee Brown each had 14 points and 5 steals and
Jahnna Salazar finished with 11 points and 9 rebounds.
The nationally-ranked Spartans improve to 4-2 overall and 3-0 in Region XIX.
NCC will travel to Sussex County Community College on Saturday to face the Skylanders at 1pm.
Cumberland falls to 0-5.
