NEWTON, NJ - The NCC men's basketball team shot a sizzling 55% from the field to earn a 78-64 victory over Sussex County Community College on Saturday.
The Spartans also shot 19 of 23 from the charity stripe, including a 6 for 6 effort from
Sean Larks (13 points) in the final two minutes to seal the victory.
"I thought our defense stepped up today," stated Head Coach Kevin Foley, "we have been a little tentative on the defensive end early this season, but today the guys were more aggressive. This was an important road victory as we hit the heart of our conference schedule."
Ralph Padilla added 13 points for the Spartans who improve to 3-4 overall and 2-2 in conference play.
NCC returns to action on Tuesday November 22nd when they host Camden County College.
