SEWELL, NJ - Despite taking a 10 point lead to the locker room at halftime, the NCC men's basketball team stumbled in the second half and fell to Gloucester County College, 67-62, on Tuesday night.

Leading 36-26 entering the final 20 minutes of action, Northampton was outscored 41-26 during the second stanza as the Roadrunners pulled away for the improbable victory.  "I am somewhat at a loss for words," remarked NCC Head Coach Kevin Foley, "once again I think we did some very positive things, we are just not seeing the results in the win column."

Jahron Mathies and Ralph Padilla each scored 15 points to lead NCC, which shot 4 for 19 from behind the arc and 15 of 26 from the foul line as a team.

The Spartans, now 3-6 overall and 2-4 in Region XIX, return to action on Thursday night when they host Union County College at 7pm.

Gloucester improves to 2-2 in Region XIX and 2-6 overall.
