Lazers Top Spartans, 98-84

SYRACUSE, NY - Size and hot-shooting spelled doom for the NCC men's basketball team on Saturday, as the Spartans fell to Onodaga Community College, 98-84.

The Lazers, led by Jordan Prior's 28 points and Brandon Seiby's 26 (including six 3-pointers), opened a 49-43 halftime lead and then pulled away during the second half.

"Onondaga is very talented," commented Head Coach Kevin Foley, "their size and shooting ability really wore us down ... Coach Pasiac has done a great job."

The Spartans, who shot 32 for 78 from the floor and 14 of 26 from the line, were led by Jaylonn Tullis with 26 points, Ralph Padilla with 16 and Nick Nickle 13.

The loss drops NCC to 0-2 overall.

The Spartans return to action on Thursday October 10th when they host PSU-Schuylkill at 8:00pm.
