SYRACUSE, NY - In one of the biggest early season battles in NJCAA Division III women's basketball, #1 ranked Onondaga Community College dismantled 4th ranked Northampton, 78-47, on Saturday afternoon at OCC Arena.

"Their big girl totally dominated us inside," remarked Head Coach Art Wolfe, "we had no answer for her and offensively we continued to struggle with poor shooting and turnovers, just like in our opener vs. Lackawanna.  OCC has a really nice team ... they are obviously deserving of the number one ranking."

April Andrews led the Spartans with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

NCC, now 0-2 overall, returns to action on Thursday October 10th at 6pm when they host PSU-Schuylkill.
