Men's Basketball Remains Undefeated in Conference Play

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton men's basketball team improved to 3-0 in conference play with an 87-75 victory over visiting Harrrisburg Area Community College on Saturday afternoon at the Arthur L. Scott Spartan Center.

Zach Hankerson scored a team-high 26 points (including a 5 for 8 performance from 3-point range) and Tyler Krchnavi hauled down 8 rebounds to lead the Spartans on the boards.

"I'm not pleased with how we closed the game, but I thought we did a good job for the first 33 minutes," remarked Head Coach Kevin Foley, "we built a nice cushion (21 point lead) in the second half, but we let Harrisburg chip away at it and make it a game.  We need to do a better job closing games out."

Jaylonn Tullis added 18 points and 6 rebounds for Northampton.

The Spartans improve to 5-2 overall and 3-0 in the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference with the victory.

Harrisburg falls to 1-6 overall and 1-3 in conference play.

Northampton returns to action on Tuesday December 4th when they make the short trip across the Lehigh Valley to conference rival Lehigh Carbon Community College.  Tip time is set for 8:00pm.
