BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton men's basketball team won their 3rd consecutive game, downing Ocean County College 82-70 on Thursday evening at the Arthur L. Scott Spartan Center to improve to 7-2 overall.
NCC jumped out to a 36-23 halftime lead, only to see the Vikings close the gap to 68-64 with under 5 minutes remaining. The Spartans then closed the game with a 14-6 run to earn the victory.
Jaylonn Tullis led Northampton with 26 points and 15 rebounds and
Andrew Miller added 22 points, including three 3-pointers.
Dontae Davis led a solid defensive effort, taking three charges, and recording 1 steal and a blocked shot.
"Ocean is a quality team, I thought we responded to their runs and did a better job executing offensively tonight," commented Head Coach Kevin Foley, "we need to continue to cut down our unforced turnovers, but overall a very solid effort tonight."
Ocean falls to 1-3 overall with the loss.
Northampton returns to action on Saturday when they travel to EPAC foe Bucks County Community College for a 2:00pm tip-off.
