LINCROFT, NJ - Northampton first baseman
Mike Tenaglia has been named First Team All-Region for the second consecutive season, as announced by the Region XIX baseball committee.
Tenaglia, a 6-0" sophomore, is second in Region XIX with 10 homeruns and third in RBI with 55.
A 2011 NJCAA Third Team All-American, Tenaglia is batting .395 with a .491 on base percentage.
Matt Smith and Jon DeJesus also earned All-Region honors, as both were named to the Third Team.
Smith, a First Team selection in 2011, is 2-4 this season with a 4.83 ERA.
DeJesus hit .314 with 22 RBI in his first season for the Spartans.
Northampton advanced to their third consecutive Region XIX Final Four with a sweep of the Bergen Community College in their best of three series this past weekend.
4th seeded NCC will face #1 Gloucester on May 11th at 11:00am at Gloucester.
