Men Win Second Straight, Move to 8-1 in EPAC

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton men's basketball team won their second consecutive game, downing EPAC rival Luzerne County Community College, 77-51, on Tuesday night at the Arthur L. Scott Spartan Center.

Andrew Miller had 27 points and 11 rebounds to lead Northampton, while Dontae Davis added 20 points and Tyler Krchnavi hauled down 10 boards.

The Spartans, who took a 40-29 lead to the locker room at halftime, went on an 18-4 run early in the second half to put the game out of reach.

"Real good balance tonight," commented Head Coach Kevin Foley, "we didn't shoot real well, but the guys hit the offensive boards hard and did a nice job around the basket."

Northampton improves to 12-7 overall and 8-1 in the EPAC.

Luzerne falls to 2-16 overall and 1-8 in conference play.

The Spartans return to action on Thursday when they host Stevens College (6-9 /5-3) at 7pm.
