BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Sophomore
Zack Hankerson hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to send the game to overtime and the Spartans outscored Stevens College 14-1 in the extra stanza to earn an 88-75 victory on Thursday evening at the Arthur L. Scott Spartan Center.
The Spartans, who improved to 9-0 at home, trailed the entire second half before Hankerson's buzzer beater sent the game to overtime.
"Just a great comeback," remarked Head Coach Kevin Foley, "I'm really proud of how these guys never quit ... obviously Hank hit a big shot for us, but it was a great team effort. This was another critical game in the conference standings, so to hold serve at home was crucial."
Dontae Davis scored a career-high 36 points, including 26 in the second half, and
Andrew Miller added 13 points and 9 rebounds for the Spartans.
Brent Maron added 7 assists and 6 steals for Northampton.

Stevens falls to 7-10 overall and 6-4 in conference.
The Spartans are back in action on January 29th when they travel to EPAC rival Montgomery County Community College. The men's game will be played first, with tip-time slated for 5pm.
