BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Sophomore's Tiara Aziz and Alyssa Gibson are steadily climbing the Northampton women's basketball record book during their historic two year run with the Spartans.

Aziz is currently ranked 7th all-time in scoring with 723 points, 154 points behind career scoring leader Ashley Capozzolo (2006-2008).  In addition, Aziz is 4th in steals (108) and 5th in assists (138).

Backcourt mate Alyssa Gibson, who missed four games during the 2011-12 season with a knee injury, is currently 2nd all-time in assists with 165 and 3rd in steals with 111.

The duo has has accumulated an overall record of 43-7 so far during their career at Northampton, including a Region XIX championship, a trip to the NJCAA National Tournament and the program's first-ever #1 national ranking.

"These two have been special," stated Head Coach Art Wolfe, "the success that we have had during their time here is a testament to their hard work and dedication to the program."

The Spartans, ranked 5th in the country, return to action tonight when they travel to Montgomery County Community College for a 7pm contest.
