BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton women's basketball team opened conference play on Tuesday with a convincing 79-34 victory over Luzerne County Community College at the Arthur L. Scott Spartan Center.
Brianna Morales scored 19 points and handed out 7 assists and
Lauren Thompson (Pine Grove) had a season-high 15 to pace NCC.
"We worked the ball a little better tonight," remarked Head Coach
Art Wolfe, "I thought we got away from our game against Lackawanna, but tonight we stayed focused and got an important conference victory."
Alaura Workman led the Spartans on the boards with 12, while
Katie Schickling added 10 points.
Northampton, which improved to 2-2 overall, returns to action on Saturday November 16th in Randolph, NJ vs. Orange Community College in the County College of Morris Bracket Buster Challenge.
Luzerne falls to 1-2 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
