RANDOLPH, NJ - The Northampton women's basketball team rebounded from a six point loss to Orange County Community College on Saturday evening with an 82-64 victory over host County College of Morris on Sunday in the consolation game of the CCM Fall Ball Tournament.
Brianna Morales scored 19 points and handed out 10 assists and All-Tournament selection
Lauren Thompson (Pine Grove) had a career-high 23 points and 11 rebounds to lead Northampton.
"Overall, not a bad weekend given that we were down a few players," lamented Head Coach
Art Wolfe, "we had some girls really step up and that should help us over the long haul of the season."
Katie Schickling added 13 points for NCC, which improved to 3-3 overall on the season.
The Spartans return to action on Tuesday when they host conference foe Montgomery County Communty College at 5pm at the Arthur L. Scott Spartan Center.
The women's softball team will conducting a canned food drive on Tuesday to benefit the Northampton Food Bank.
