BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Alaura Workman led four players in double-figures with 18 points as the Northampton women's basketball team downed Montgomery County Community College, 92-39, on Tuesday evening at the Arthur L. Scott Spartan Center.
Workman added 10 rebounds and Pine Grove's
Lauren Thompson finished with 17 points, 9 assists and 6 steals as the Spartans moved to 2-0 in conference play.
"It was nice to get somewhat back to full strength tonight," commented Head Coach
Art Wolfe, (due to injuries the Spartans had played their last two games with only seven players), "we were able to do a few more things defensively and our break was much more crisp tonight."
Chawntell Jeffrey added 16 points and
Brianna Morales had 14 for NCC.
Northampton, 4-3 overall, will travel to conference foe Harrisburg Area Community College on Saturday for a 1pm contest.
