SYRACUSE, NY - After dropping their season-opener to Sullivan County Community College on Saturday, the Northampton women's basketball team responded with a dismantling of Delaware County Community College in the consolation game, winning 83-12 on Sunday afternoon.
Katie Schickling scored 15 points and
Brianna Morales added 12 as the Spartans jumped out to an amazing 54-1 halftime lead and cruised to the 71-point victory.
Alaura Workman scored 11 points and team-high 6 steals and
Lacey LaRezza chipped in with 12 points and 9 rebounds.
Northampton, now 1-1, will host Division II Lackawanna College on Thursday November 7th in their home opener at 6:00pm.
Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for children ... all Northamton students, staff and faculty are free with their school ID.
