Men's Basketball Captures EPAC Championship on Sophomore Night

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton men's basketball team captured the inaugural Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) championship, defeating Bucks County Community College 93-60 on Tuesday night at the Arthur L. Scott Spartan Center.

Freshman Malcolm Lyles scored a career high 28 points to lead NCC on sophomore night, as Dontae Davis, Zack Hankerson (10 points), Jaylonn Tullis (15 points) and Andrew Miller (20 points) played in their final regular season home game.

"Great night all-around," commented Head Coach Kevin Foley, "Malcolm played great and after a slow start we really settled in and played well as a team.  We got a little complacent defensively in the second half, but we will work on that tomorrow at practice."

Northampton improves to 18-7 overall and finishes 13-1 in conference play.

Bucks falls to 1-14 overall and 1-12 in conference.

The Spartans return to action on Thursday when they travel to the County College of Morris to face the Division II Titans.  Game time is set for 7:30pm.
