BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Coming off the first Region XIX championship in school history, no one was sure what to expect for an encore for the Northampton women's basketball team.

While expectations were certainly high, it might have been a bit much to expect a 20-1 overall record, an 8-0 conference record and a #1 national ranking for six weeks ... not for Coach Wolfe and the Spartans.

Entering tonight's crucial EPAC/Region XIX matchup with Lehigh Carbon Community College (11-4 / 6-2), Northampton is riding a 22 game unbeaten steak at home.  The last loss at the Arthur L. Scott Spartan Center was the opening contest of the 2011-12 campaign, when NCC fell to Division II Lackawanna College, 47-43, on November 3, 2011.

In addition, Northampton has won 14 consecutive Region XIX contests, with their last loss coming on February 4th, 2012 at Ocean County College, 61-55.

Northampton will finish the regular season hosting Sussex County Community College on Thursday, Bucks County Community College on Saturday and then traveling to Division II County College of Morris on February 14th for a Valentine's Day matchup.
