Miller's 29 lead Spartans Over EPAC Rival Lehigh Carbon

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Andrew Miller knocked down his first five 3-pointers and finished 7 of 11 from behind the arc on his way to 29 points as Northampton knocked off EPAC rival Lehigh Carbon Community College, 87-78, on Tuesday night at the Arthur L. Scott Spartan Center.

Dontae Davis added 18 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds and 4 steals and Jaylonn Tullis chipped in with 19 points and 6 boards as Northampton improved to 12-1 in conference play.

"I'm really pleased with the effort tonight," replied Head Coach Kevin Foley, "Lehigh Carbon is so well-coached, I knew it would take a complete team effort, and that is exactly what we got.  We really shot the ball well from the outside and that opened up the passing lanes for our big guys."

Northampton, who hosts Sussex County Community College on Thursday night, can clinch the EPAC championship with a victory over Bucks County Community College on Saturday.

The Spartans improve to 16-7 overall with the victory, while Lehigh Carbon falls to 11-11 overall and 4-8 in conference play.
