LINCROFT, NJ - Brookdale Community College claimed their second consecutive Region XIX championship, downing Northampton 89-59 at Collins Arena on Saturday evening.

The Jersey Blues (30-1), ranked #1 in the country, pulled away from a 10 point halftime lead behind tournament MVP David Rosado's 15 second half points to earn the bid to the NJCAA national tournament.

Jaylonn Tullis scored 18 points and Dontae Davis added 15 points and 10 rebounds for Northampton, which finishes with an overall record of 20-9.

"Give Brookdale credit, they are number one in the country for a reason," commented Head Coach Kevin Foley, "I'm so proud of my guys ... they fought hard all year and to make it to the Region XIX championship game is a real credit to them and their dedication to this program."
