BLUE BELL, Pa. - The Northampton women's basketball team jumped out to a 41-24 team halftime lead and cruised to a 69-44 victory over Montgomery County Community College on Thursday evening at Bach Arena.
Lauren Thompson scored 19 points,
Brianna Morales had 13 and
Brianna Clymer recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds to lead a balanced Spartan attack.
"I thought we bounced back well after Saturday's outing," remarked Head Coach
Art Wolfe, "our defense was much more active and I thought we were much stronger on the boards than we were vs. Cumberland."
The win moves Northampton to 12-4 overall and 8-0 in Region XIX.
Montgomery falls to 4-9 overall and 1-6 in Region XIX.
Northampton is now off until Tuesday January 28th when they travel to nationally-ranked Brookdale Community College.
