Women's Basketball Opens Season with Upset of 10th Ranked Sullivan

SYRACUSE, NY - The Northampton women's basketball team opened the 2015 with a 64-47 victory over 10th ranked Sullivan County Community College on Saturday afternoon at the Onondaga Community College Invitational.

Lauren Thompson scored 16 points and Nicole Amann added 12 points and 4 steals, as the Spartans led the entire game.  Dominique Oyeniyi provided a spark off the bench, grabbing a team-high 10 rebounds.

The Spartans (1-0) will face the winner of Onondaga and Delaware County Community College on Sunday in the tournament championship game.
