Women's Basketball Rolls Montgomery to Move to 3-0 in Region XIX

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Northampton women's basketball team exploded out to a 46-11 halftime lead and coasted to a 99-32 victory over Montgomery County Community College on Tuesday night at the Arthur L. Scott Spartan Center.

The Spartans placed four players in double figures, led by Nicole Amann with 16, Zeniyah Sanders and Paige Priestas with 14 and Julia Craig with 10.  Lauren Thompson had 8 assists and 7 steals, while Dominique Oyeniyi hauled down 12 rebounds, including 8 on the offensive end.  

The win propels Northampton to 5-3 overall and 3-0 in Region XIX.

The Spartans travel to Randolph, NJ on Saturday to face Division II Orange County Community College in the first round of the County College of Morris Turkey Shootout, with game time set for 6:30pm.

Montgomery falls to 1-4 overall and 1-2 in Region XIX.  Alexandria Somers paced the Mustangs with 12 points.
