Kulp's 24 Leads Northampton to 86-59 Victory over Harrisburg

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Sophomore Derek Kulp exploded for a season-high 24 points as the Northampton men's basketball team downed Harrisburg Area Community College, 86-59, on Tuesday evening at the Arthur L. Scott Center.

Kulp added 11 rebounds and Tyler Jean-Baptist hauled down 11 boards and dished out a season-high 13 assists, which is the second highest one game total in Northampton men's basketball history.

"Tonight was probably our most complete effort of the season," commented Head Coach Brennan McCarthy, "I really liked how we shared the ball and looked for the open man ... we still have a long way to go, but tonight was a step in the right direction."

Northampton, which has now won two straight, improves gto 4-5 overall and 3-2 in Region XIX.

Harrisburg falls to 2-5 overall and 2-3 in Region XIX.

The Spartans are now off until December 2nd when they make the short trek to Schnecksville to face EPAC rival Lehigh Carbon Community College at 8pm.
